With 12 years extensive work experiences in North America, China and Europe, plus being educated in both East and West, Mr. Duan is certainly a well-rounded professional manager in business administration with global insights and perspectives. Mr. Duan is a key management personnel and a top decision maker in our corporation. It was under his leadership that our international business portal ( www.contact-china.com ) was planned and launched successfully. Actively involved in formulating and executing international business strategies, he is in charge of developing businesses in the Chinese market for Western companies. His previous professional experiences include working at Consumers Packaging Inc. in Toronto, Canada, where he conducted financial analysis and profitability assessment on proposed joint venture and direct investment projects in China and provided strategic recommendations to the company's top management members. Prior to that, Mr. Duan worked in Europe for about 3 years with Jaakko Poyry Group, an engineering consulting firm headquartered in Finland and also a worldwide leader in its industry. He was a Chinese industrial projects specialist assisting the company winning and implementing project contracts in China. Before coming to Europe, Mr. Duan worked in China for 6 years. He was a team leader in international project co-operation on a 100,000 t/a pulp mill project in China. His duties were assessing project proposals, both commercial and technical, negotiating contracts with tendering companies from North America and Europe, and coordinating the international communications and co-operations. Mr. Duan started his early career as an engineer in China after earning his Bachelor degree in Engineering in 1989. He also holds a MBA degree from McGill University, a renowned top university in North America.
